The fun of change.

Can we change whatever we want to change?

Or is everything just totally random, a spontaneous evolving, a creation without any direction?

I’ve been a fan of both ways of looking at life, alternately.

There were times that I’d gathered enough ‘evidence’ to follow one of these extremes for a while, only to run into a sturdy wall of fresh perspective and painful realizations, and to wake up to a whole new world of possibilities.

I guess the fun of life is that you get to think whatever you want to.

And, sure, many people will try to correct or oppose or fight you, but in the end nobody really knows.

There’s no Universal Court of Truth.

So we can play, and play, and play.

I love to life within some kind of ‘enlightened opportunism’.

It’s something like the middle way, but not always.

It’s where paradoxes make total sense, and where you can feel both right and left without any problem.

Sometimes I say I don’t know, because that’s basically true.

Sometimes I’m sure I DO know, and that seems true in the moment.

My steadiness is found in the shifts of life.

My certainty is the result of my ever changing preferences.

I like, REALLY like, to believe that I’m here for a reason, to do and learn something.

So that’s what I do.

I like to embrace the story of my life, the path, the journey, the lessons.

I play my part with love and wonder and frustration and despair, and sometimes it looks like I changed things singlehandedly, and sometimes I try for weeks but nothing really happens.

I guess anything can feel true.

Left AND right, black AND white, light AND dark.

Isn’t it amazing to just flow with all of it and change your mind in a heartbeat?

Does it really matter what matters?

Well, that’s totally up to you.

Have a day!
