Never giving clients homework can be problematic.
Not telling them to do something can be confusing.
Huh?
Because that’s what we’ve all learned: in order to change, we have to do stuff.
It’s funny that it can take a while to convince people that they don’t need it.
No journaling, no breathing, no affirmations, no letting go of suppressed emotions, no accountability, no whatever.
It sounds lazy.
Maybe even too simple.
How can they learn and see and become something if there’s no stuff to study, not even a recommended book or podcast?
What kind of coaching is that?!
That is not the only time generally adopted, popular ideas can get in the way.
It’s the same with patterns, unconscious beliefs, and old habits that they are projecting out into the world.
Things they’ve heard about and mention like it’s really essential.
But I don’t touch those either.
No need.
‘So how will I know when I’ve found the real me?’, she asked.
‘You’ll feel happy.’
