Hahahahahaha.

People are SO incredibly ignorant.

And naïve.

It’s almost unbearable.

And it’s definitely fascinating.

How do I know?

Well, I am one.

Just as fucking all over the place as anybody else.

And I’ve fallen for the same stories, the same promises, the same moods, time and time and time again.

Just like you.

Ignorance is our superpower.

Forgetting shit is what makes life possible.

Really.

Forgetting pain and sorrow is incredibly helpful and hopeful.

Forgetting good stuff makes it frustrating, but interesting.

We get so lost in the realness of the story, believing it, being fucked up by it, totally ignoring the fact that we’ve been there before.

And when the monsters have left, when the sun finally starts to shine, we take a deep breath… only to start all over again.

We know that we do stupid and harmful things all the time.

We know that we’d be better off avoiding specific stuff, quitting stuff, and cutting stuff out of our lives.

We know how we’d like to celebrate all of this.

But we don’t.

Because we forget how to.

Ignorance sets the stage.

We forget.

And then we remember.

How incredibly sweet.
